The third volume of The Waiting Game series explores a haunting yet rarely photographed image: the guard dog, left to protect property in the absence of its owners. Often confined by chains or trapped behind walls and fences, these dogs spend their days watching over industrial sites, rural homes, car scrapyards, or luxury estates.
These animals endure endless hours of isolation, facing boredom, neglect, and emotional abandonment. Yet, they remain dutiful, carrying out their role in exchange for basic sustenance. Their ultimate submission erases all sense of hope, as they live and die in the same confined space, treated merely as tools. This poignant series offers a stark reflection on the strained and utilitarian relationship between humans and their environment.
