Victor Pedra works the base sculpture of cut iron sheet and polychrome on both sides and sometimes, it is a rusty sheet. The circus and women are his recurring themes, always with clear surrealist nods.
In 2020 Pedra made a series of sculptures in rusty iron plates whose common theme is the female tightrope walker-athlete. The connection between women is that forceful and resounding one that fills all of Pedra's works, as well as that circus facet of tightrope walkers that is very present in both her sculptures and her paintings. Unique artwork piece.
