ONADA is HEREU’s basket silhouette cut-out tote bag.
Its interlocking motif is enlarged to form a distinctive outer section which encases the inner canvas pocket. The bag’s circular handle recalls the effect of molded plastic as well as the shape of portholes found on boats, however, when rendered in leather, the combination takes on a new significance.
This nautical reference draws a subtle line connecting HEREU to the coastal and island communities that have inspired the brand’s design approach. The inclusion of a perfect circle in the structure of these pieces also provides a graphic focal point and visual anchor, transforming them into statement items whilst maintaining a sense of refinement.
