This is the first volume of a new collection published by Terranova and directed by specialist Guillem Celada, dedicated to iconic objects from Spanish industrial design History.

It is dedicated to the MBM-2 wall lamp, created by the architecture studio headed by Martorell, Bohigas, and Mackay, and winner of a Delta award in 1966. The book consists of two academic texts that examine the appearance and implementation of the product in public spaces, as well as the immediate influence that led to a multitude of variations and copies, along with an extensive visual essay featuring photographs by Pol Masip that show the current presence of the lamp in the doorways of Barcelona and its surroundings.

The book opens with a brief introduction by Èlia Bagó, a young designer who is a founding member of the Sociedad 0 collective. It also includes previously unpublished film negatives from the photo session that Leopoldo Pomés conducted for the official portrait of the three members of the MBM studio, supplied by the recently created Archivo Pomés.
